I joined Northwest Door & Sash, as they were in the process of redesigning their website. I evaluated the business and formed a marketing strategy. It became clear that NWDS needed an effective way to communicate their brand value and differentiate themselves from their competition. NWDS prides themselves on their attention to detail, unique construction techniques and outstanding customer service. To show these differences on a website proved a difficult task. For the Product Features page, my goal was to create a visually appealing layout that was also easy to read and understand. For the actual product images, I created various computer renderings that allowed the images to show construction techniques not visible on a completed product, and tried to accurately reflect the high level of quality & craftsmanship in the work.
The emphasis of this page was to convey the culture of the business and the high regard for customer service. I utilized a similar layout to the Product Features page and took some pictures around the shop of various people, activities, machines, etc. that helped prove the company is real, with a real shop, and is full of real people who truly care about their craft.
